First salary

13 02 2010

Today I got my first salary ..Rs 1000/-. I was very happy at that moment. Now no one can challange me’ ek rupiyoy kamai ne batavo’.

I taught some aspects of astronomy to school going students for 8 sundays in program of sunday science school conducted by science center rajkot. I taught almost 240 kids between 10 to 17 years old. One of the batch was of deaf and dumb students ( funny thing is that they were elder than me), I didn’t know their language but an instructor was there to help me. That was the best day of my life and a very memorable experience in my first job. All sundays I enjoyed teaching very much ( no one tortured me.. i still don’t believe this).

THE ALCHEMIST

2 11 2009

Some days before a book came into my hand. I was free at that time so I began to read the book. The title was ‘THE ALCHEMIST’ by Paulo Coelho. While reading first few pages I found it very boring but as I moved ahead it became very interesting. Here is the story:

A boy named SANTIAGO is a shepherd and travels here and there in Europe with his sheeps. He is having dreams about a secret treasure near pyramids in Egypt. Then he meets a magician type man named MELCHIZEDEK. Melchizedek encourages him to follow his dream so that he can find his destiny. Boy agrees with the Melchizedek and sells all his sheeps to go Africa to find the treasure.

He watches all colors of life during his journey towards the treasure. While passing the desert of SAHARA he meets ALCHEMIST (who can make PHILOSOPHERE’S STONE). Alchemist helps the boy in finding the treasure. He teaches boy many more things about the soul of the world, the universal language of world, the language of omens. He explains him that ‘ If you wish something by your heart, force of whole universe comes to help you to fulfill your wish’ (‘agar Kisi chizz ko dil se chaho to puri kaynaat use tumse milane me lag jati hai’-SRK).

And at last the boy reaches to pyramid and he comes to know mind blowing suspense about the treasure.

Punishment Knights- We the engineers.

8 09 2009

(Don’t take this story seriously. This is only for fun. I am not in opposition of any prof.  in our colleg.)

Have you ever been punished for not answering a simple question in your classroom?

Have you ever done an assignment constantly for three nights and two days?

If your answer is no then you have lost a biggest adventure of your life.

I am going to narrate our experience of doing a huge assignment. Hold your breaths, people having soft heart are requested to close this window right now.
Day 1:
Morning of September 3rd, Thursday 8:45A.M.

a prof. enters the classroom to take a proxy lecture. We were not aware about his arrival so we were shocked by seeing him in class. He asked a simple question about effect of rate of change of current on thyristor, but none was interested to answer the question so everyone remained silent. He didn’t like this peaceful atmosphere so he opened his book and gave us(whole) three full chapters of power electronics as an assignment. The time limit was set up to Monday morning.
Day 2:
Evening of September 4th, Friday 6:30 p.m.
Joss Mankad began the assignment and completed one chapter till Saturday evening.
Palash Mankad and Hardik Zalariya did the same thing.
Day 3:
Night of September 5th, 9 p.m.(Happy teacher’s day).
Joss Mankad, Palash Mankad and Hardik Zalariya gathered at Palash’s house to complete the remaining assignment. Three of them were enjoying the biggest adventure of their life. They realized that how many things in the chapters were being skipped in the classroom from teaching. The topics which were skipped were not understandable for the faculty so he gave those topics for self study.
Day 4:
Sunday September 6th, 00:00.
Real adventure began. And the three knights were constantly fighting with the problems of assignment with the help of tea and snacks. Almost at 4:00 A.M. we stopped the fight because we covered almost everything. We kept some questions for evening. At last the fight ended at 7:45 P.M.

Kaminey- mind blowing film

21 08 2009

Recently i saw movie kaminey . For the first time(according to me) in hindi cinema this kind of movie is made. Vishal bhardwaj is fantastic multi skilled filmmaker. Maan gaye yaar!!! Though this movie is commercial, some idiots are not able to understand this movie. This prooves that most(not all) Indian people don’t have brains in their mind.
